Proclad's Moustafa El Halouty Recognised with Industry Thought Leader Award at CSSOPE 2026

Proclad is proud to announce that Moustafa El Halouty, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, has been presented with the Industry Thought Leader Award at the 16th China Sourcing Summit on Petroleum & Chemical Equipment (CSSOPE 2026), held in Shanghai. The award recognises his contribution to the conference through technical thought leadership and industry engagement.

During the conference, Moustafa delivered a presentation titled "The Future of Critical Infrastructure Materials in the Energy Sector – Emerging Challenges and Considerations for Long-Term Asset Reliability." The presentation examined how the energy industry is adapting to increasingly demanding operating environments, with greater emphasis being placed on lifecycle performance, asset integrity, supply chain resilience, and the selection of advanced engineering materials.

The presentation highlighted the growing importance of moving beyond traditional capital cost decisions towards a lifecycle-based approach that considers reliability, corrosion management, manufacturing quality, traceability and long-term operational performance. It also explored how emerging energy sectors, including offshore gas, LNG, carbon capture, hydrogen and geothermal developments, are driving new engineering challenges and increasing demand for integrated solutions.
