ADNOC – EPC for Bab Facilities Upgrade Project

The Bab Facilities Upgrade Project is a strategic initiative by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) focused on enhancing oil production capacity and operational efficiency at the Bab onshore oil field, one of the largest and oldest oil fields in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This project plays a vital role in supporting ADNOC’s long-term production targets and the UAE’s energy security.

Key Highlights:

  • Production Capacity Enhancement: The project aims to increase crude oil production capacity from the Bab field, contributing to ADNOC’s strategic objective of boosting overall output while maintaining reservoir integrity.
  • Advanced Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC): It involves comprehensive upgrades to existing processing facilities, installation of new oil gathering systems, and modernization of utility and infrastructure systems to enhance operational reliability and safety.
  • Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Techniques: To optimize hydrocarbon recovery, the project utilizes water injection systems and gas lift technologies, ensuring sustained production efficiency and reservoir pressure maintenance.
  • Environmental Sustainability and Safety: ADNOC integrates state-of-the-art emission control systems and sustainable water management practices, ensuring compliance with international environmental and safety standards.

The Bab Facilities Upgrade Project showcases ADNOC’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology and sustainable practices to enhance energy production, ensuring operational excellence and environmental stewardship.
