PDO – Rabab Harweel Integrated Project

The Rabab Harweel Integrated Project (RHIP) is a strategic development by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), aimed at maximizing hydrocarbon recovery from the Rabab and Harweel reservoirs in southern Oman. This large-scale project is critical to sustaining Oman’s energy output and supporting long-term economic growth. Key Highlights: Enhanced Oil and Gas Production: The project involves the extraction of sour gas, condensate, and oil, leveraging advanced enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques to optimize hydrocarbon recovery from complex reservoirs.

State-of-the-Art Processing Facilities: RHIP includes central processing facilities for gas treatment, oil separation, and sulfur recovery, ensuring efficient and environmentally responsible production.

Complex Geological Conditions: The project addresses challenging subsurface conditions, employing sophisticated drilling and reservoir management technologies to maximize extraction efficiency.

Sustainability and Environmental Stewardship: Designed with a focus on sustainability, RHIP incorporates innovative solutions to minimize environmental impact, including advanced sulfur recovery units and water management systems.

The Rabab Harweel Integrated Project demonstrates PDO’s commitment to deploying cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices to enhance Oman’s energy production while maintaining environmental stewardship. Our scope was the fabrication & site welding of 29,000-inch Dia Alloy 625 Inconel Cladded pipe spools of various diameters 2” to 24” Clad/ Solid with the thickness range from 2.70 mm to 38.90mm. Including various types of branch connections such as Weldolet, Flageolet, Nipolet, Elbolet,Injection Quills and Insert Weldolets etc. GTAW Manual, GTAW Auto, SMAW& SAW processes were used to comply with relevant WPS, and Butt joints were 100% RT examined PWHT was applied in line with the code requirements
